Dog Friendly Beaches: The Best In The Uk
Both Tenby North Beach and Castle Beach will be closed to dogs from 1 May to 30 September. Tenby South Beach is the best place to walk your dog on the sand. There are restrictions on the left side of the South Beach parking lot, but the rest of the beach is free for your dog to walk and play.
Jackson Bay is a dog-friendly beach on Barry Island, however, please note that Whitmore Bay is dog-free from May 1 to September 30 each year.
There are only seven beaches on Anglesey where the ban on dogs is in place. These are; Beaumaris, Benleach, Semas Bay, Llanddona, Llanddwyn (Newbrough), Porth Dafarch and Tredurr Bay. These restrictions apply from May 1 to September 30 every year. See Anglesey Council for further details and maps.
