Over three miles of sandy beach, the Braunton Burrows dune system is on our doorstep, offering visitors miles of walking and stunning views. Braunton Burrows is the second largest dune system in the UK and is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in the heart of the North Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). A Dog Friendly Day At Eype
Close to a year-round dog-friendly beach, our award-winning dog-friendly apartments are a haven for dogs and their owners. Each villa has its own fully fenced garden, allowing your dog to run freely (and smell the rabbits!). Our outdoor shower is great for washing off patches and showers after a good walk on the beach or in the dunes (also great for washing wet clothes!).
Our beach villas offer attractive and comfortable accommodation for families, couples, groups of friends and their dogs. All villas are fully equipped for a comfortable self catering beach holiday in Devon.
For furniture, we provide blankets to protect sofas and soft furnishings. If your four-legged friend likes to curl up on the couch or you think you’ll need more, bring your own blankets to make sure the rest of the furniture is protected. The villas have dry floors throughout which can be washed and cleaned – no carpets here!
Dog kennels with vet beds are available on request, saving space in the car for everything else. Upon arrival, our canine guests are treated to a Dog Box filled with a variety of treats, including a unique Saunton Beach Villas dog tag to wear with pride! We no longer charge dogs per night – £40 a dog covers all your dogs during your stay.

In February 2023 we were delighted to receive a bronze award in the ‘Dog Friendly Business of the Year’ category at the Devon Tourism Awards Finals, held at Home Park Stadium in Plymouth. We are proud to have been awarded ‘Recommended’ status in the Self Catering category as well. We are very proud to have won these awards in recognition of our commitment to creating delicious dog-friendly holidays for our guests.

We also have a range of tried and tested (from office dogs!) Kelso and Titch, including Doggy Popcorn, delicious sausages and crunchy biscuits! We’re also big fans of paw and nose pads – perfect for giving your dogs after a long walk on the beach!
All our villas are dog friendly and have no dog limit, however if you are bringing four or more dogs we recommend booking a larger villa. For example, if there are 4 people and 5 dogs, you would be more comfortable with 6 rams than 4 rams. This is not a requirement to brush up, we just want to make the offer for everyone’s convenience!
We have dog groups, such as agility groups, that stay with us all the time because they can live together without worrying about the dog’s boundaries. We often hear from families who haven’t gone on holiday for years because they can’t find accommodation for all their dogs, we are delighted to be able to offer such a group holiday together.

Suffolk Hot Tub Holidays
Yes, every house has a fully fenced garden – the fences are up to 4ft high and are a hit and miss style. If you need specific ceiling heights for other villas, please let us know. In the garden, you will find an outdoor shower, perfect for washing off bits of sand and mud after a long walk on the beach or cooling off your dogs on a hot day!

We do not prohibit our guests from leaving their dogs in the Villa if they want to go out. Yes, be a responsible dog owner and don’t leave your dog out for too long or if the house is too hot. We also ask that you respect your neighbors and do not allow your dog inside if you know it will make unusual noises while you are out.
Just got back from 4 days at 3 Dunes in Saunton Beach villas with my teenage boys and Bea our cavapound 🙂 We had everything we needed, the location was amazing and the ability to have the back door open to the enclosed garden. it was perfect We walked several times on the beach and the food at the Beach Grill was delicious. tip – get Tesco delivered to your door!
Best Dog Friendly Holidays By The Sea
If you have a dog, this is the place to go. I can’t fault anything and I will definitely be back.
A good place to stay. The villa was clean and comfortable with everything you need for a home stay. The sea was beautiful and our dog thoroughly enjoyed his run on the beach and through the Burrows. It was painful to leave him and go back home, but maybe I wouldn’t hesitate to come back.
We love Saunton sands beach, the chalets are a great place for a functional holiday. It’s always a bonus that you can catch up with your funny friends
We had three nights at Saunton and enjoyed it. The place is clean and beautiful. You have to bring your own towels, but they will tell you that you are in the know. The location is great, so close to the beach.

Loved our stay here, walked the dog a lot. The staff were helpful and welcoming. The villa was nice and clean on arrival and the dog loved his crate left by the staff. It exactly met our expectations from the friends who recommended Saunton Sands Villas to us. Our first stay here but we will definitely be back!!
Great place, we slept 8 and it was big enough for all of us. Nice kitchen, clean, tidy, fresh bedding (don’t forget to bring your own towels), plenty of hot water and a good shower.
