Ultra Music Festival, Miami Music Week’s annual flagship event, returns to the sunny shores of Greater Miami and Miami Beach March 28-30, 2025, marking the destination as the epicenter of American electronic dance music (EDM).
Weekend Events In Miami Beach
Miami’s flagship Ultra Festival attracts tens of thousands of people from all over the world, as well as almost all the biggest names in electronic music. This year’s edition will once again take over Bayfront Park in Downtown Miami and bring in many old names who haven’t been seen in years, like Calvin Harris. The 2024 lineup also includes debuts from contemporary artists such as Peggy Gou and SVDDEN DEATH, as well as familiar and beloved festival regulars. Ultra Music Festival 2024’s headliners are names you might recognize if you’re not already familiar with electronic dance music. The biggest was Calvin Harris, who appeared on stage for the first time in 11 years. The man who has signed names like Dua Lipa and Rihanna will play a full DJ set on one of the closing nights. Other notable names include Afrojack, who would perform underground under the pseudonym Kapuchon; DJ Tiesto; David Guetta; hard; and Armin Van Buuren’s A State of Trance on stage. Notable Ultra debuts include electro-pop phenomenon Peggy Gou, whose hit song “(It Goes Like) Nanana” topped the EDM charts for most of 2023. SVDDEN DEATH will also perform their first Ultra performance with a solo DJ set and collaboration with Space Laces. and as Eptic Masterhand. The combination of Kill the Noise and Bro Safari will also be released as Kill Safari. Orbital will return to Ultra for the first time in 14 years, and guests can also expect big sets from Elderbrook, Camelphat, Eric Prydz, and Zeds Dead.
The Ultra underground Endurance program returns for another year and hosts two stages. Starring Adam Beyer, Camelphat, Dubfire, Sasha and Digweed and many more. Resistance will also return to M2 Nightclub in South Beach, and the artist has not yet been announced. While Miami Music Week offers plenty of opportunities to see world-famous DJs at smaller venues, Resistencia is your best chance to see most of them at one club in one night.
The easiest way to get to Ultra is to take the Metromover to the Bayfront Park, First Street, or College/Bayside stations. Those coming from Miami Beach can take the bus or carpool to Government Center Station and use the Inner Loop to get to either station. Or take a bus from the Venetian Causeway to the Adrienne Arsht Center Metromover station and take the Omni Loop to downtown Miami. Originally from Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm Beach or Orlando can also take you to Brightline Ultra. From Miami Central Station, you can take a short walk to Bayfront Park or take the Metromover Inner Loop from Wilke D. Ferguson Station to College/Bayside.
