Dog Friendly Hotel Chains

Dog Friendly Hotel Chains

Dog Friendly Hotel Chains – For most travelers, a family vacation means taking Sparky, Fido, or Spot. Fortunately, most dog-friendly hotel chains welcome fur babies into their homes, although the welcome varies. Some chains show their love for animals with fun perks — beds, bowls, toys, even sleep treats — while other chains show they celebrate stockholders at low or no overnight cost.

When booking a hotel with your pet, check all regulations regarding breed, weight and number of pets and find out which areas outside the room allow pets, and equipment to bring. Here are five chains that go above and beyond to welcome dogs.

This award-winning branch of the Marriott brand has 210 hotels that accept dogs up to 40 pounds. Most (but not all) are free of charge. As part of the Pets Are Fun (“ARF”) program, pet guests can use Aloft beds and bowls and enjoy treats and toys. Each area has different rules regarding the weight and number of animals.

With nearly 2,000 licensed properties in the US, Canada and the Caribbean, the large chain accepts dogs, as well as many cats, birds and other small pets. Generally, hotels allow two dogs per room, with a maximum of 80 pounds per pet. Nightly rates are low, and long-term stays are high; Any negative deposit may be refunded. Many facilities offer special areas for walking or running the dog, while staff are ready to guide owners to parks, shops and restaurants.

A chain of more than 60 luxury hotels is rolling out its welcome for pets. There is no charge for animals, and there are no breed or size rules. If they enter the door, according to the owner, the animals are good. The hotel company is an animal relations manager. Pets receive goodie bags upon check-in and are welcome to request beds, dishes and rugs. The front desk can guide you to nearby restaurants and pet-friendly attractions, and even your fur baby will be welcome overnight in the hotel room.

This huge chain of more than 900 properties may not offer items like toys, beds or litter boxes, but it does have a big advantage: cheap, free, or budget. For shorter stays, you can pay a small price per night, but all prices close after a few nights (and service animals are free). The pet policy allows pets to be left unattended in hotel rooms. Some areas have restrictions on the weight of animals or the number of animals.

This national brand was the first to introduce pet welcome mats. Its Loews Loves Pets program includes a permanent supply of treats, bowls and mats, as well as essentials such as pet beds, litter boxes, scratching posts and toys. Pets enjoy their own room service menu, and owners can use dog walking tickets. In some areas, dog-friendly programs are available – such as surfing lessons in San Diego. The price per night varies by property, but is usually a limit of two animals.
