Their pet policy allows well-behaved dogs of any size in the villas for a daily fee of $20 per pet. To book online, you can select one of the cottages and then add the pet fee at checkout.

This resort has everything you need for a perfect vacation without leaving the 700 acres. Choose from a variety of activities that are fun for the whole family, from land to lake. The guest pool and beach are pet-free areas, but dogs have their own swimming area, Fanny Beach. We were even able to rent a sailboat to go out on the lake with Roscoe! You can also dine in one of the hotel’s five restaurants. Dogs are not allowed in the dining rooms, but are welcome to dine with you in Red Mill’s peaceful outdoor seating area. Dog walking and dog sitting services are also available if you want to have fun without Fido.

Field Guide Lodge in Stowe is an elegant boutique hotel managed by Lark Hotels. Like many of their properties, their pet policy allows dogs under 70 pounds for an additional fee of $50 per day. We stayed in one of their three dog-friendly suites, which have beautiful space and a private outside entrance. You can book this apartment online, just remember to add a note about your dog’s number, size and name. Dogs cannot be left alone in the hotel room. Out of respect for other guests, fibers are only allowed on hotel terraces and in open public areas.

This hotel features elegant, elegant room decoration. The lounge, comfortably furnished with vintage wood burning stoves and warm leather cushions, invites you to relax with a book or a board game. You can enjoy breakfast in the lobby café bar or grab a drink and a bite to eat in the new retro ski bar Après Only. You have to book the outdoor hot tub in advance which is a bit inconvenient. But the upside is that you’re sure it’s for you. And the location can’t be beat. We were able to walk to the town center and the mountain bus stops outside the hotel. It’s the perfect base for you and your pup’s Vermont adventures.

The Inn at Mountain View Farm is a very special place to stay in the heart of Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. According to their pet policy, dogs are allowed for an additional $50 per night in select rooms: Peacham, Danville, N. Danville, Maidstone and Lost Nation. You can select the “pet friendly” option to book your room online. The hotel is so pet-friendly that a friendly golden retriever works at the front desk and there’s even an animal shelter on site. Just be careful if your dog reacts to other animals!

We stayed in a Deluxe Peacham room which was intimate but comfortable. Roscoe especially liked to fall asleep in front of the roaring fire. In the morning we were greeted with warm pastries and coffee in the main hotel building. Just when we thought we couldn’t eat any more, the innkeeper brought out his famous fresh blueberry pancakes. We couldn’t resist.

Set on 400 acres atop a ridge in the unspoilt North East Kingdom, this historic farm is one of the most spectacular places I’ve ever stayed. It’s worth getting up early to see the sunrise.

The Kimpton Taconic in Manchester has one of the most liberal hotel policies I’ve ever come across. Everything is welcome, from furry to feathered, as long as they ride the elevator! There are no restrictions on the size, weight, breed or number of pets allowed, and there is no additional deposit or fee. When booking online, simply filter for pets and fill out the pet form at check-in.

The Kimpton Taconic is truly the perfect place to pamper your pooch. Rooms are equipped with food bowls, toys, treats and a plush bed for Orvie’s dog. (Orvis flagship store is just down the road, be sure to visit with your dog). Dogs are allowed in the lobby of the hotel’s Copper Grouse restaurant and front porch dining area. During the cold season, they have outdoor heaters to make sure both you and your little ones stay warm. In addition, pet services including but not limited to pet sitting, dog walking and pet spa services can be requested by contacting the front desk.

The Made Inn Vermont in downtown Burlington is a home away from home for both you and your pet. The pet policy of this urban chic boutique bed and breakfast is to welcome well-behaved furry friends for a fee of $25 per pet per day. You can book directly online, just make sure you add your dog to the guest number and give the details in the notes.

We stayed in room 904, one of the larger rooms recommended for larger dogs. Even Roscoe’s was comfortable and the bathrooms are down the hall (private though). The hotel’s quirky character may not be for everyone, but it’s in a great location, within walking distance of the city centre. The owner is very friendly and happy to offer suggestions for pet-friendly restaurants and things to do in Burlington.

Located in central Vermont between Killington and Rutland, Mountain Top Resort not only allows dogs, but also puts dogs first. Their pet policy states that companion dogs are welcome in their four luxurious king cabins and a selection of guest cabins with a Vermont biscuit, dog bed and bowl. You can book for an additional fee of $50 per dog per night, for a maximum of two dogs per unit. Dogs must be registered at the time of your booking.
