Standard 2 Bedroom Cabin
Select standard cabins are friendly. All studio-style cabins sleep four people with two beds and two bunks, a kitchen and a bathroom. There are also some pet-friendly family cabins, which usually feature queen-sized beds in a separate sleeping area and wood heaters.
The park is a short walk from the town centre, has a swimming pool, gym, covered BBQ area and plenty of space for your dog to roam freely in the park.
If you want to go to the beach instead of holidaying with your dog in Queensland, Kira Beach Tourist Park is a dog-friendly caravan park on the Gold Coast. A short walk from the beach (and a short drive from Palm Beach Dog Beach), some properties go even further with dog-friendly amenities and allow dogs year-round.
Two spacious two-bedroom cabins are set up as dog-friendly cabins. Each home has a gated balcony and is made of eco-friendly materials, making it ideal for relaxing meals including a balcony barbecue. Inside, there are two bedrooms that can accommodate 4 people, as well as a kitchen with a dishwasher and a bathroom.

Dogs are welcome in at least 20 pet-friendly cabins throughout the park. Pet-friendly options include studio comfort cabins, comfort cabins, two-bedroom cottages, two-bedroom family cabins, bungalows, and two-bedroom terraces that sleep two to six people. Pets are not allowed in hotel rooms or in some large buildings. If you’re not sure, double check (look for footprints) at the park or website.
With careful advance planning, up to two tall, well-behaved dogs can be brought indoors at no additional cost. Be sure to tell the park when you make your reservation that you will be bringing your pet, and bring their vaccinations with you.
Stanthorpe Pet Friendly Vacation Rentals
North Stradbroke Island is one of the dog-friendly islands off the Queensland coast, allowing pets on the island’s beaches as well as on the ferry and Norreid Beach. The classic option is to camp on the beach, but there are also cabins at North Stradbroke, although this is only accessible by 4WD.
Book your accommodation at Seaside Shanties at Amity Point on the north side of the island. Five of the eight cabins are pet-friendly, allowing well-behaved dogs. Stylishly furnished cabins sleep 2 to 6 people, each with its own kitchen and bathroom.
Whether you want river views or garden views from your cabin, all cabins have access to the water as part of the grounds, which also include an outdoor kitchen and BBQ.
The Great Sandy Strait is just a three-hour drive north of central Brisbane, but it’s a world away from the city, especially when you’re at the quiet and relaxing Puna Palms Holiday Park.

At management’s discretion, animals may live in the park year-round, on-site and in petting homes. Choose from two- and three-bedroom cabins and villas in the park that allow pets. This caravan park has a dedicated off-leash dog park with agility equipment, as well as a K9000 dog washing station outside the premises, essential for cleaning up after a day’s sand adventures. There is a boat launch on site and is a popular fishing and crabbing area.

Pet Friendly Slow Stays Where You Can Take Your Fur Baby
This park is conveniently located in Point Vernon. Dogs are allowed on most beaches in the Hervey Bay area, but they are generally off-limits on the Point Vernon foreshore. There are three different areas, including the area between Aplin Street and Pines Park near the caravan park.

When you apply be sure to let the park know you will be bringing your dog so they can provide you with a suitable home. An additional charge of $50 per stay applies.
Best Dog Friendly Camping Spots In Queensland
This caravan park is located just meters from the Nielsen Park Dog Park exit at the north end of Fred Cotis Avenue. Dogs are allowed on leads in the section of Bergara foreshore accessed from the esplanade, but please note that there are signs indicating that dogs are not allowed.
A great place to keep your pet while driving north from Queensland is Mt Larcombe Tourist Park. The park is located just off the Bruce Highway, near the Gladstone turnoff.
As permitted in all powered and unpowered areas within the park, pets are also permitted within park buildings, provided they are declared at the time of booking. Two pets are allowed per household, including indoors, as long as they are kept in bed. Please note that puppies and children under 6 months are allowed.
The park has two off-leash areas. One is to stand facing a sunrise spectacle and see the “big picture” of the sunrise itself. There is also a second area on the outer lower level. Note that neither is fenced. Poop bags are also available at all locations on site, and pet towels can be requested from the office.

One of the best parks in Chartres Towers City is Dalrymple Tourist Van Park, located 2 km north of the city. The rear of the park faces the golf course, which is effectively an off-leash area and pet friendly.
The caravan park has a pool, garden views and affordable cabins. Each room sleeps 4 or 6 guests with a double or queen bed, one or two bunk beds, a kitchenette, and a bathroom with shower. Please call the park before requesting a pet. There is an additional charge of $10 per night per pet requested.
There are several dog-friendly caravan parks in Cairns, but most do not allow pets in their homes. If you’re looking for pet-friendly cabins, book at Cairns Coolwaters Holiday Park.
The park is close to the wonderful Goonbulla Park, which has large outdoor areas including a popular dog swimming area. The park also has its own Rainforest Creek Walk.
