Does your dog love surfing and the beach? Delaware’s beaches offer a variety of options for visiting with your dog. In the neighboring town of Davie Beach, dogs are allowed on the beach after 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Any time during the summer or other times of the year.

Cisco Brewers is a brewery, winery, and winery that offers tours and has outdoor seating, both of which are dog-friendly. Don’t forget to visit the Milestone Cranberry Bogs, where you and your dog can stroll through acres of lush red cranberries.

Bar Harbor has something for everyone: mountains, ocean, and a vibrant downtown. This New England town is perfect for a dog-friendly vacation because it’s surrounded by Acadia National Park, which has more than 50 square miles of mountains, lakes, hiking and biking trails, and scenic coastal vistas. Visit Mirror Lake, where you and your furbaby can enjoy the beauty of Mirror Lake on the 2.7-mile paved trail. Then, stroll to the west side of the lake, where there are many shops that welcome your pooch.

Block Island is a beautiful, dog-friendly resort with 17 miles of sandy beaches. It’s best explored on foot or by bike, which is ideal for active dog parents. Most beaches are relaxed for free visitors, but you’ll want to avoid the main beach on the east side of the island, as it can get crowded in the summer.

Hired dogs can also ride the Block Island Ferry, a fun route from the mainland to the island. Many hotels on the island welcome dogs, and there are also many vacation rentals. Grab a smoothie at Juice ‘n Java – they also provide water and snacks for your furbaby.

Even though Vermont’s name carries the word “green,” Vermont’s green hills are also a must-see when they’re draped in spectacular fall foliage or covered in snow.

The quaint village of Stowe has miles of hiking trails to suit all abilities, as well as multiple campgrounds with rustic cabins, some of which are dog-friendly. Our favorite is the Muddy Moose Lodge in Morrisville, off the beaten path away from the quaint shops.
